Water Polo Additional

I have been player waterpolo since my freshman year of high school and when I started there was not a single girls club in Missouri. Due to Covid shutting down the school season my coach and a couple other coaches decided they wanted to make an all girls club (The St.Louis Lions). My coach emailed me right after our school season got shut down and told me that they will be trying to make a girls club for any girl who wants to grow in the sport. At first I started as a 2 meter defender and slowly moved to wings, and flats. When I went to the junior olympics with my girls team I played one game in field then our goalie got a concussion and I had to take over in goal because I had the most experience but I still wasn't ready to be a junior olympic goalie at the time, I had 15 minutes of goalie training in our hotel pool and surprisingly I preformed very well and I kept improving from there I am not a full time goalie but I am have been willing to train in and out of the pool for goalie and feild.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I want to be an athlete in college to continue playing to show my skills and learn more about waterpolo in the process. I also want to experience being an athlete in college along with being an A student.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

In the sport waterpolo I am a leader because I lead an example for the younger girls on my team and help them with technique.I am also a leader outside of sports like in my classes I lead an example for younger students, I am also in yearbook so I have to lead an example by getting my things complete so everyone else knows there expectations.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

As a student athlete I spend a lot of time in the gym and in the water when I am on off season I workout everyday such as lifting weights and cardio when I am in season for swimming I swim everyday for two hours and when I am in waterpolo I have practice and also workout outside of practice to get some lifting in to help build strength. I also believe and clean body is a clean mind so I stay away from any toxins that could hurt my body and eat very heathy to ensure good habits and to stay in shape for swimming and waterpolo.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.
