Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I’d like to be recriited so that I can obtain the education that I need in order to pursue my career goals while playing the sport that I love. My teammates and I haven’t had the opportunity to have a football season due to Covid-19 but I’ve been training hard in hopes that I can have the opportunity to be recruited and play in college. I have also been playing team sports since I was 4 and have learned that being a part of a team has been a strength in my life on and off the field. As a team we’ve not only supported and lifted each other during practice and games, but we’ve been there for each other off the field as well. I hope to continue to be a part of this type of support unit in college.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I’ve demonstrated leadership off the field as an assistant leader of my church young men’s group. I was responsible for leading meetings and planning and carrying out activities and service projects, as well as assisting younger boys with other church duties. On the field I have encouraged and supported other players when they are struggling and strive to put out 100% during practice and games.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I pursue healthy athletic performance by eating a well balanced meal, drinking a lot of water, and getting sufficient sleep. Aside from football training I also think it’s important to do other enjoyable recreational activities like surfing of basketball for all around mental and physical well being.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I have been a part of several flood relief efforts in my community. I filled and delivered sandbags to vulnerable homes. I’ve helped to pump and clear debris from distressed homes. This is important to me because our community can only thrive when everyone is safe and strong. I have also helped to clean surrounding beaches, parks and mountain trails. It’s important to keep our community clean for future generations to enjoy as well as to preserve our native species. I’ve learned that through service, my life has more meaning and I can progress as a person, a citizen, and a player.
