In the the Dubuque Area Junior Tour I tied for 2nd place in the 16-17 yr old division in the summer of 2020. I won two of the events and finished in second or third for the season. I have only had one season of high school golf as we play in the spring and lost last season due to Covid. As a freshman golfer, I played in the number two spot for Maquoketa. I have big goals for this year's season. |

Personal
Golf is my passion. Every spare minute is spent on the golf course improving my game. I have learned many valuable lessons from golf and made many friendships. I want to continue developing my skills so that I can compete at the collegiate level. It would be a great opportunity to play new courses against talented competition.
My work ethic is an example of my leadership both on and off the field. I am the first golfer to practice and the last to leave because I recognize that the time and effort I put in during practice greatly impacts my performance in a match. I work hard during the off season to improve my skills and often encourage my teammates to get in some extra rounds with me. My work ethic is also evident when it comes to my school work and part time job at the YMCA. It is important to manage my time and stay organized so that I can do my best.
Health athletic performance means maintaining a balance. While golf is my passion, I understand how important it is to do well in school and be present for my family. Balancing these things can be stressful at times. I try to manage this by being proactive with my responsibilities and focusing my time on the things that are most important. I put in a lot of time at the range and simulator and play a lot of holes in the off season so that I am at my best when the season comes around. Preparation is very important. I also try hard to get a good amount of sleep every night as I find that is really important to my performance.
I am a very active member of my 4H club and an officer in FFA. Service to my community has been primarily through these organizations. Many of these service opportunities involve working with youth which I really enjoy. I have helped to organize and participate in farm safety events, county fair activities, and a variety of fundraisers. I have also been a student leader for our local Dance Marathon. These events are important to me because I enjoy the fellowship from these activities and feeling like I am helping the greater good.
