Personal Highlights

Hello! My name is Tina Li and I am a current junior at Longmeadow High School in Longmeadow, MA. I am a varsity diver on the high school team and also compete for my club team Springfield Area Diving on both the one meter and three meter boards. I was a gymnast for 10 years before switching to diving full-time. I love to push myself to learn new dives and surprise myself with what I am capable of. I think that diving is a sport that offers lessons to athletes beyond the pool. From my years of diving, I have grown as an athlete to conquer my fears and believe in myself. Besides working on my athletic ability, my favorite part of diving is the community. When going to meets or summer camps, making new friends and connections has always been easy for me. I love to encourage other divers and get to know them better to see how we can push each other to improve.
Because of the pandemic, I was unable to practice between the months of March, 2020 and February, 2021 at my club pool, but I traveled to Indiana for one week in July to practice and train new dives. My priority on the high school team this winter season is to ensure the safety of my teammates and myself as we grow as divers.
In school, I am a top student with an unweighted GPA of 4.132. I am president of two clubs, Amnesty International (which I also founded) and Language Mentoring Club, and am a member of National Honor Society. I have over 100 hours of volunteer work from Key Club and Tri-M Honors Music Society. I balance school work, practice, and a part-time job as an instructor at a learning center.
