"This girl leads by example, her work ethic and determination are like no others. She's respected by her team mates and her coaches. She's gifted offensively and she's gifted defensively. She has an exceptional hockey IQ and is able to adapt her style of game at the coaches request. She makes everyone around her better, she's physical when necessary , she is a huge contributor offensively, and she was a huge reason we had the success this year" --Coach Dave Olenik Thunder Bay Queens Bantam AA Coach 2019-2020

I am just a small town girl who loves to play hockey. I started skating when I was 2 years old and haven't stopped. Growing up I played with my brothers team of boys who were two years older than me and it pushed me even harder to keep up with them. My dream is to play Division 1 hockey with the best women around. For the last 3 years I travelled 5 hours 5 days a week or more to play and practice on competitive girls team and was able to maintain a 4.0 average. I love hockey, its as simple as that!

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

My dream is to play for a Division 1 Team in University. I can't imagine not playing competitively after I graduate because everything I do is to enhance my game and mind every day towards that goal.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I feel I am a leader off the ice by making the new younger players feel welcomed and involved, making friends with them and building up their confidence. On the ice I show my best work ethic at every practice and game, and encourage my teammates to do the same by setting up plays and offering praise and enthusiasm.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

This year of Covid has been especially difficult. I further my healthy athletic performance by eating healthy balanced well thought out meals, work out and weight train 5-6 days a week, stay moving and active by playing other sports like snowboarding, volleyball and cross country skiing, I get on the ice and practice whenever possible and shoot thousands of pucks at home!

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I volunteer with hockey for Novice, this is important to me to inspire and lead the younger kids to play and stay active.
