Personal Highlights

Volleyball fills my heart at a different level than other sports. I know how to be a leader and when to follow. I’m my hardest critic but understand mistakes do not make me a failure but stronger.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

Putting it simply, I want to be recruited to play volleyball in college so I can do great things while playing the best sport. I want to continue playing the sport I love to spread how I've been blessed by God and possibly represent important causes I support.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

I believe I am a leader on the court because I understand that each of my teammates is a different person who reacts differently to many situations. So I like to make sure that I tend to each of them in productive ways to help not only the person but the team as a whole. I believe I'm a leader off the court because I try to bond my team because I know the importance of a tight-knit team, so I like to push for hang-out events or eating out after a game; simple things go a long way.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I pursue healthy athletic performance by, of course keeping my body in good physical shape, but also by listening to my body when I don't feel well or when I'm not at 100% in order to not overdo my body. I make sure I maintain good time management with my school work so I don't stress myself out because my mental health is just as important.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am involved with my community mostly with my church because I love kids. So, I love helping our Children's Church staff weekly by volunteering at party events for the kids, helping to teach the weekly lessons on God to them, or even gathering snacks when we're low on staff. It's important to me morally because I feel like I'm contributing an important aspect of myself that God would want me to use.
