I love the sport of tennis. I believe I have a high upside with tennis because I have only been playing tennis for 4 years and have improved greatly every year through hard work and training. I train with an excellent college tennis coach at St Thomas Aquinas who grew up attending all the same camps in Majorca that Rafael Nadal did, and I attend his clinics with older players every week which has helped me improve greatly.
Another reason for my belief in having a high upside is I am an excellent basketball player that trains and competes year round in that sport as well. As a result, I am very athletic on the court, can use my 6'2' fame to my advantage and can get to many balls other players cannot. I am in top physical shape and just need to keep working on mastering my serve, groundstrokes and volleys, and learning the best strategies for winning points.
I am a triplet and share a deep bond with my brother and sister that will last forever. I am a Christian with strong values learned from my faith and parents. These values along with my hard work ethic will help me achieve my goals as a person and overcome any challenges.
I want to be the best athlete I can be and be part of a team with a common pursuit and goal of being the best we can be. I also want to feel like I am a big contributor to the college I am attending both academically and athletically and want to be able to continue to compete. I also want to share the passion I have with my circle of family and friends that have encouraged and helped me in my journey.
I am a counselor at the Glen Rock Basketball youth camps (grades 3rd-8th) where I coach the younger ages basketball critical life skills like hard work, teamwork and sportsmanship.
I pursue healthy athletic performance by leading an extremely active liestyle, exercising hard every day of my life and eating nutritiously. I also have participated in many youth sports including Soccer and Lacrosse from 1st to 8th grade, and continue to play tennis as a 2nd sport thorughout my High School career. I played #3 Tennis singles on the varsity High School team my junior year.
I volunteer at Glen Rock Arboretum clean ups because it is improtant to me to lead efforts to keep our environment clean for future generations. I also volunteer in the 'Shovel for Seniors" program to help snow shovel the properties of the elderly for safety during winter snow storms.
