Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

Playing sports in college has been my goal since I stepped foot into highschool, and was a commitment I made dating back to 8th grade.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

In addition to track, I also played soccer, which I was the captain for the JV team sophomore year. Being a leader on the field for both sports means giving advice, keeping team morale up, and most importantly, cheering on your teammates. Off the field I am a skillsUSA competitor, and have led my team to the top 9 nationally in game/app development. Being a leader for skillsUSA isn't too different from being a captain, you have to have the right mindset to keep your team going.

In my community I am involved politically and through sports. These efforts are important to me because I feel the need to give back to my community whenever I can.
