Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

Sports have been such a large part of my life. They provide opportunities to express myself, provide a creative outlet and enable me to continually find a balance between a structured social and educational environment.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

Leadership can be demonstrated through many ways. I find myself continually being a dependable leader by leading through accountability to myself and my team. I work diligently to make responsible decisions and leading by example by being a team member that prides herself on integrity.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I hold myself accountable and take responsibility for my performance. I create my own structured workouts when not in season and work to find a healthy balance in my diet that supports my competitive aspirations. I find myself to be very competitive and feel that having a healthy balance enables me to perform at my peak.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I have volunteered with Paws for Cause and continually work within my community to help with service projects for organizations in need. Being able to support organizations in need or those less fortunate provides an opportunity for me to bridge the social divide that often plagues our society and opens myself up to new experiences and perspectives.
