Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

For the past 3 years, I have been running track and xc. Each year I have improved my time and would like to keep running in college. I have fell in love with the sport and want to see how far I can go, and reach my full potential.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

Our team has a strong culture of the upper classmen leading and supporting everyone on the team. I felt that when I was a freshman and want to continue the leadership roles that the seniors have--building teamwork, fostering inclusion, and supporting members in practice and meets.

Off the field, I am a small group leader for my church. I work with students in the middle school each Sunday and have done this for the last several years. I volunteer for camp leader positions as well at our church for the summer programs.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

To create a healthy athletic performance, I have to make sure that I first get my school work done. I like to get it done before 10pm, so I can get good sleep and go to bed around 10:30. I also watch my nutrition, and make sure I get around a gallon of water a day. Time management is a key to stay on track to keeping my body healthy.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.
