Athletics is an important part of my personal wellness. I attribute part of my academic success to having athletic outlets like swimming and rowing to help me find balance. As I enter into the intense world of collegiate academics, I know athletics will be a necessary part of my plan.
I believe that I lead by example. I strive to be consistent, kind and encouraging to those around me. I am reflective and observant with a high level of initiative. My coaches and teachers count on me as someone who will work hard, take feedback and put it into action while helping others.
Time management has always been a strength of mine. In high school, I have successfully balanced a full academic load, extra-curriculars, athletics and part time jobs. I understand the importance of prioritizing and goal setting in my athletic and academic life.
I realize that I am a small part of the bigger world and I have a duty to use my talents to serve others.
To that end, I am active with my high school and community service opportunities.
