Personal Highlights

Soccer is not only a sport that teaches individuals how to be competitive, team-players, and good decision makers it also shapes people into who they are. My name is MaKaylee Harris and I’ve been playing soccer since I was 7 years old. My teammates started calling me MaK because MaKaylee was a long name to yell, ever since than the name has stuck with me and I’ve been called it by many of my peers friends and coworkers. For as long as I can remember soccer has been an extremely important part of my life. I usually play a wing or forward but also have experience playing outside back. On the field I am known to be fast and aggressive, I excel at getting the ball and crossing it or shooting. I am ambidextrous but my dominate foot is my left. I am very athletic and really enjoy working out. Ever since I was little people would say I am a ball of energy. I used to do competitive gymnastics, basketball, swimming, cross country and weight training. However, soccer has always been the one that’s stuck with me. I am currently a Junior at Mountain Vista High School and I have been on varsity since my freshman year. I work part time at a daycare as well as refereed on the side. I am a very ambitious and I want to succeed, although I am a very humble and compassionate person. I care deeply about my teammates and strive to build long-lasting friendships. I hope that you will consider me to be a part of your team and school.
