Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I have played high level sports for a long time. Traveling across the Mountain West competing against some of the best. I enjoy the completion, I enjoy being a part of a team and I’m kinda of a geek at heart. I thrive in school- love learning new things and aspire to build my Business knowledge in College. The possibility of doing both in college is very appealing to me!

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

Being a student athlete combines high expectations both in the classroom and on the mat. I work hard in the classroom to maintain exceptional grades and student habits. By challenge my academic schedule with college and honors classes I feel like I will be better preparing for my college experience NOW. I also make efforts to support my teammates on and off the mat. Cheering, consoling, sparing and just being a good friend are a priority for me. While in a match or at practice I aspire to have a hood attitude- both verbally and with my body language. Win or lose I want to have class and good sportsmanship

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

Being a student athlete that excels takes a well rounded lifestyle. I learned good time management at a young age. This has been a huge help as I got older and busier, to be able to manage all my activities so that I can find success all around.
Maintaining good nutrition to fuel my body is an every day priority. I refrain from binging in drugs and alcohol as well as most junk foods. I am very aware what foods energize my body and provide the fuel best for me and my lifestyle.
My mental health is also a part of my health. I take time to be a teenager- do fun activities and be with my family and friends. I also listen to a lot of of podcasts and music that inspires me and teaches me tools to deal with challenging “mental” roadblocks. I love to read and learn from others and look for inspiration often!

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I volunteer for 2 organizations who support youth sports in low income rural communities. My hometown is a small rural
Community so being a part of programs that empower and support programs like my home town is very important to me
