Personal Highlights

I have 3 siblings: Jake who is at the Naval Academy, Josh is my twin brother. We don't look anything alike (he's 6'3, 250 lb defensive lineman) but we are so alike in many ways. We both are positive, motivated and dependable. I also have a younger sister Isabella who is in 4th grade. She's one of my greatest joys in life! The highlight of our day is our Exotic Shorthair cat. It looks just like Garfield and has a personality that's similar.

I love music, especially singing. I also played piano for over 10 years. Other hobbies of mine include baking, scrapbooking, reading and gardening.

Sports Highlights:
I've been a dual track and National soccer player since my freshman year. For the 2020 high school Indoor and Outdoor track season, it sadly never happened for me.

I played Club and High School Soccer achieving ECNL National club level.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
-
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.
-
Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.
-
Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I'm passionate about being a role model for youth through volunteering, coaching and interning. I have type one diabetes and am committed to not only supporting, but paving a path to give other type ones the courage to continue pursuing their dreams especially athletic.

My family and I host a JDRF Corn Hole Event every year to help raise money and bring awareness to type one diabetes. JDRF Raised over $105K for JDRF (2012 - 2021) through fundraising events. I have had type one diabetes since I was 7 years old. I'm 100% dependent on insulin.

I've been part of Matthews Playhouse of the Performing Arts Children's Summer Camp since I was 6 years old where I first participated in their camps. When I finally was old enough, I applied to be an Apprentice and Intern. This allowed me to not only develop leadership skills, but also help young children build their confidence, tap into their creativity and gain the courage to spread their wings. I was an:
-Apprentice (2019/ 2020)
-Intern (2021) - Camp counselor planning, creating and teaching children's acting performances.

Other volunteering:
- Christmas Wrap Presents for Families in Need (2019)

- Brookhaven Community Social Events Volunteer (2019 - 2021)
- Write letters to the elderly (2021)
- Create sight word cards for Classroom Community in Charlotte NC
- Rachels Kindness Club (2019 - 2021)
