Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
-
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.
-
Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.
-
Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I volunteer in my community through different organizations that work with children and teens with disabilities. One of the organizations I volunteer with is Ability First. It is an organization that strengthens and cultivates skills to help its members successfully navigate each transition in life, including building social connections and independence; employment preparation, training, and experience. My volunteer experiences include interacting with the members and organizing and hosting events throughout the year. I also volunteer at Precious Life Shelter, which provides housing and services for homeless pregnant women. My volunteer work has focused on babysitting the newborns while the mothers take life skill classes. I also help organize donation drives to help them get baby supplies and toys. These efforts are important because I want to do better in my community and give back to others in need. Volunteering at Ability First and Precious Life has made me a better person and given me experiences that I wouldn't have received otherwise.
