I am new to rowing this season but not new to athletics; I have been a year-round athlete throughout high school: cross country, swimming, and soccer (I have also played year-round travel club soccer). I am also a yoga teacher at Yonder Yoga! Last summer, I completed a 200 hour yoga teacher training course to become a certified yoga teacher. I teach yoga three times a week when my schedule allows (5:45 am class before school, 4:30 pm after school, and 10:45 am on the weekends).
In addition to sports, I love service! I am the fundraising lead for Westminster’s chapter of Circle of Women, a 501C3 nonprofit organization that collaborates with communities worldwide to implement change and action toward young women’s access to quality education. I am also a volunteer coach for the Girls on the Run program at Bolton Academy. During the summer, I love being on the water at sailing camp and surfing camp, as well as teaching girls how to sew at my summer sewing camp, Project Runway Camp.
Rowing combines many aspects of my personality – I love to be challenged physically, part of team spirit and culture, and on the water!
