Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?

I want to be recruited to play sports in college because it has always been my dream since I started playing sports when I was younger. I also feel it would not only benefit the healthy lifestyle I want, but it will also benefit my academics. Lastly, I just want to play for the love of the game.

Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

One example of how I demonstrate leadership in both areas is that when our team is falling apart on the court, I take charge and bring everybody's spirit up, and make changes depending on the way the game is going. One example of how I demonstrate leadership off the court is when one of the "new girls" came to the sport I was in and had a lot of social anxiety. So I told her that if she really wanted to get better at the game, she was gonna have to put herself out there. However she did not want to, so I decided to take the lead and help her out, and help her get better after practices/conditioning, even during the summer.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I choose to eat healthy items over unhealthy items. I also have recently gave up soda so that my athletic performance would increase and my body would not be feeding off sugar. Furthermore, after all of my practices I go for a run to keep my cardio up. Lastly, I attend all of the summer conditioning/camps for my respective high school, keeping me in shape during the summer as well.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am involved in FFA, and am an active member. Throughout FFA, I get many opportunities to help my community, such as donating animal items to shelters, or even cleaning up gardens at elementary school sites. This is important to me because I get to help my community in ways that I may have not be able to achieve before if it wasn't for FFA.
