Tonawanda LIghtning Team Captain for the last 2 years
For the 2005-2006 season my hockey team ran into many obstacles - from lack of dedication on the part of some members of the team, to being placed in the wrong division in the GLGHL league, to not being well supported as the only woman's team by our organization. We did not win many games and the team ended the year with many people leaving. No statistics or awards were ever distributed this year. That is why I have no stats to enter above from the previous season.
I therefore decided to try out for some other club/travel teams in our area since there is no ice hockey league for girls' schools here. I am playing for the Niagara County Coyotes Team this year, which I believe has the strongest girls team locally for my age group. I am happy to have made their top 19U Tier 1 team, which will mainly complete in the SWGHL league.
Objective: I am presently focusing on my education so that I will be able to attend a college or university that will offer me the opportunity to study for a career that involves creativity and to play women’s hockey.
Hockey: I played co-ed house hockey in the Town of Tonawanda in grades 3, 4 and 5.
Town of Tonawanda Lightning Association: In grade 7 I began to play 19U travel girl’s hockey. The team began the year I joined as developmental and moved up to B level in the GLGHL league. I have served as captain for the last 2 years under coach Larry Leta and have had the most points on the team due to a large number of assists.
Buffalo Prospects Hockey:This spring I participated in the Buffalo Prospects, which is a skill & character development program for the college bound hockey player. The 16U girl’s team skated in clinics twice a week. I was chosen participate in two spring tournaments in Toronto.
Niagara County Coyotes: For senoir year, I am playing hockey for the Tier 1 19u Niagara County Coyotes girls hockey team in the SWGHL Hockey League. In the first 6 games I played for the coyotes I have scored 3 goals and have one assist.
Lacrosse: I have played varsity Lacrosse for Mt. St. Mary Academy for grades 9, 10 and 11.
Soccer: I played soccer all through grammar school. At Mt. St. Mary I played JV soccer for grades 9, 10 and 11. In grade 11 I served as captain and scored the most goals on the team. For the past two summers I have also played outdoor soccer on a Ken-Ton Travel Team. For my senior year I am on the vasity soccer team at MSM which won the Msgr Martin League and competed in the NYS finals.

St. Amelia Bible School: For 3 summers I volunteered 75 hours to work at the Bible school in my parish.
SABAH: I am presently volunteering every Sunday with disabled youth in helping them learn to skate.
