While I have never played on a formal water polo team before, my high school swim coach sometimes lets us play at the end of practice. My swim coach, Lisa Barranda, played water polo at Notre Dame. The first time we played, my sophomore year, everyone agreed I was very good because I was so aggressive in fighting for the ball and passing it to a teammate. I was best at defense as I am in soccer. My coach also organized an after school club to play water polo after the swim season was over. While I so desperately wanted to play, I could not due to my participation in track. While I was not and still not on varsity in track I was/am determine to stay in it all 4 years and get a special award the school gives out to 4 year sport participants. This season, my senior year I will get a 4 year award in soccer, swimming, and track. I am a hard worker who does not easily give up. I learn quickly and when I have question most of the time I ask to understand a drill during practice. I have earned 2 varsity letters in soccer and 2 in swimming. I am also in band and have earned 2 letters for that. In my spare time I am reading about water polo and hopefully will get some more advice from my swim coach on the sport. Therefore, I hoped this has convinced you that I am a hard worker and take practice very seriously.
I am currently part of the water polo club at Ohio Northern University.
