Personal Highlights

Dedicated USA swimmer, hard worker, committed, searching for place to compete, practice hard and drop time in college. Plan to study sports medicine/nutrition/biology. Love the sport despite late start (started at age 13, year-round since age 15). Have swum at four Junior Olympics and with People to People Sports Ambassador Program (on medal-winning U.S. relay at 2004 South Pacific Splash meet in Australia) as well as year-round for USA club. Anticipate time drops this winter following difficult year of illness, sinus surgery. Continued to practice hard and participate in meets despite illness. Swam sophomore year for Poplar Bluff, Mo., High School's inaugural team and was elected co-captain of team. Have not swum for high school since in order to maintain more intense training with USA club, Gator Swim Team (www.gatorswimteam.org). Moved from Poplar Bluff, Mo., to Cape Girardeau, Mo., junior year to be closer to USA team (had been commuting 85 miles each way almost daily for two years) . Employed as lifeguard for City of Cape Girardeau Parks/Rec. Parents are USA swimming officials.
