Personal Highlights

I am a very goal oriented person. I started swimming very late compared to other swimmers in my league, but I did not let that stop me from setting the same goals they had and reaching them. I continue to drop 20 to 30 seconds per swim season in my swimming specialty (distance). I am quickly catching up to my peers and very close to reaching the competitive times for Southeastern Zone Swimming. I love to swim so much that I also have taken the lifeguard course and am a registered lifeguard for our community pool, and I pass on my love of swimming through private swim lessons, and assist with the lifeguarding course every time it is offered at our community civic center. I am also an honors student and work very hard to maintain my 3.97 grade point average. I hope to bring this up to a 4.0 or better by the time I graduate next year. My biggest dream is to be the first person in my family to graduate from college.
