Although I took 2nd, my state finals match was one of, if not, my best matches that I have wrested. The kid that I was wrestling was a very legit opponent; placing 1st his sophmore year and 3rd the year before. In the 1st Round, we were even on our feet cuz it was 0-0 at the end of it, although the ref made a bad call and called us out when I was about to take him down. But at the end of the 2nd Round it was 2-1 cuz he chose down, got the reversal on me, but I managed to get an escape. So in the 3rd Round I chose down and got away with 30 seconds left, making the score 2-2. With 20 seconds he got in deep on a single but I managed to keep him in front and we scramble for almost the whole 20-seconds but he managed to find a way out and on top of the scramble with only 3 seconds left. So he won it 4-2. Although coming out on the loosing end, I felt good about what I had accomplished.

STATE IS AWESOME!!! Placed every year that I went so far. I am definetely a 6+ minute man (hopefully a 7+ minute man soon). I've wrestled a total of 8 or 9 OT throughout my high school career so far and only lost one my freshman year, and that was the match to go to state. Never have gotten pinned except once as a freshmen by my own guy. Only have been teched once as a freshmen also. Always have made weight, even in tight situations. Although practice isn't the greatest thing to do in the world, I have great work ethic in the wrestling room; Always working hard til practice is over, Never complaining, Always doing what the coach says.
