Golf Additional

I hit the ball a long way. Every coach I have ever had has complimented my athletic swing. My swing was built by 2 different professionals. The first one being Patrick Clary at the Kapalua golf school in Maui, Hawaii. For the past couple years I have been going to Ann Finke who was recognized as the 2010 Junior Golf Leader of the Year. My average drive is 240, 5-iron is 160, PWedge 110. My best 9 hole score is 38, and my best 18 holes is 84. Because of my length I generally play the white tees.

Additional Questions:
Why do you want to be recruited to play sports in college?
Athletes are often leaders on and off the field. Please provide one example of how you have demonstrated leadership in both areas.

Ever since my sophomore year I have been the leader of my school's golf team. I usually spend time after practice helping the less experienced girls. Off the field, I tutor the same girls on my golf team as well as other students.

Please explain how you pursue "healthy athletic performance" as a student-athlete.

I work to stay active and play golf all year round. It seems difficult living in Colorado, but I go out and hit balls or play on the warmer days of winter. I also enjoy traveling with my family to warmer climates when it gets cold. I got in 10 rounds on Weiskoph & Nicklaus courses in Puerto Vallarta in December along with 7 days in Phoenix. Then the end of January I spend time back in Puerto Vallarta probably getting in another 8 days. For my senior summer trip I will be going to Pebble Beach in California with my golfing family.

Please describe how you are involved in service in your community and why these efforts are important to you.

I am very involved in my community, I spend time volunteering for our humane society, loaves and fishes, and am a 4 year member of my schools environmental club. I also tutor younger students. Helping people is a major part of my life.
