FOR ATHLETES

How do I change my password?

  1. Go to the login page.
  2. Click on Forgot Password?
  3. Enter your email address on this page.
  4. A note will be sent to your email with a link you need to click to update your password.
  5. Once the page loads you will need to enter and confirm a new password.

How do I change my email?

  1. Login to your account.
  2. Click the gear icon () on the top right of your screen and select "Edit Settings".
  3. On this page you will see the option to update your email address.
  4. Enter your new email address and confirm your new email address.
  5. Save changes by clicking “Update.”

I forgot my username/password. How can I get that?

Email us at contact@berecruited.com with your name, sport, city/state, so we can assist you with locating your account.

How do I change my privacy settings?

  1. Login to your account.
  2. Click the gear icon () on the top right of your screen and select "Edit Settings".
  3. Select the "Privacy" tab under "Account" from the menu on the left.
  4. Select the settings you wish for your account.
  5. Save changes by clicking “Update My Privacy Settings.”

How do I upload a video with a file?

  1. Login to your account.
  2. Click "Profile" (on the navigation bar at the top of the page).
  3. In the "Gallery" section, click on the video icon ().
  4. Use the "Add game film" form to upload your movie clip.
  5. Make sure you enter a title and description, so your file will upload.
  6. Select “Upload” to complete the upload.

**NOTES: Your film must be an actual file, not URL. There is a 300MB file size limit on all uploaded movies. If your movie clip is larger than 300MB, then please edit the clip to reduce the file size before uploading. Supported file types are .avi, .mpeg, .wmv, .mpg, .mp4, .3gp, .dv, .qt, .asf, .mp3, .wav, .wma, .qcelp, .amr-nb, .movieclip, .mod, .3g2.**

How do I upload a video with a URL?

  1. Login to your account.
  2. Click "Profile" (on the navigation bar at the top of the page).
  3. In the "Gallery" section, click on the video icon ().
  4. In the "Add Video Link" section, copy and paste your URL where it says "Insert video link".
  5. Click “Preview” (located to the right of the copy and pasted URL).
  6. Make sure you enter a title and description, so your file will upload.
  7. Click "Save" (located to the right of the copy and pasted URL).

Where do I locate my videos?

  1. Login to your account.
  2. Click "Profile" (on the navigation bar at the top of the page).
  3. Click the "Gallery" tab to see all your media (you may have to click the "Load More" button).

How do I delete a video?

  1. Login to your account.
  2. Click "Profile" (on the navigation bar at the top of the page).
  3. In the "Gallery" section, find the video you wish to delete (you may have to click the "Load More" button).
  4. Click the () icon in the top right corner of that video to delete it.

How do I edit the title or description of a video?

  1. Login to your account.
  2. Click "Profile" (on the navigation bar at the top of the page).
  3. In the "Gallery" section, find the video you wish to edit (you may have to click the "Load More" button).
  4. Click on the desired video you want to edit.
  5. Within the lightbox that opens, click on the title or description to edit them.
  6. Click the "X" to the top right of the video to return to the Gallery.

How do I upload a photo?

  1. Login to your account.
  2. Click "Profile" (on the navigation bar at the top of the page).
  3. In the "Gallery" section, click on the photo icon ().
  4. Select the photo(s) from your computer you want to add (you can add up to 20 photos at one time).
  5. Click “Start Upload” to successfully upload your photos.
  6. Add a title and description to each photo.
  7. Make sure to click "Save" for each photo you want to add to your profile.

**NOTE: The preferred photo size is a width of 50 pixels. If your photos aren’t this size don’t worry, we’ll automatically adjust them for you during the upload. Please upload only photos that end in: .gif .jpg .jpeg

How do I delete a photo?

  1. Login to your account.
  2. Click "Profile" (on the navigation bar at the top of the page).
  3. In the "Gallery" section, find the photo you wish to delete (you may have to click the "Load More" button).
  4. Click the () icon in the top right corner of that video to delete it.

How do I edit my personal, academic, athletic information?

  1. Login to your account.
  2. Click "Profile" (on the navigation bar at the top of the page).
  3. Click the tab of the desired information to change ("Athletics", "Academics", "Personal").
  4. Click on the pencil icon () for that section on the right side of the screen.

How do I add a position?

  1. Login to your account.
  2. Click "Profile" (on the navigation bar at the top of the page).
  3. Click the "Athletics" tab.
  4. Click on the pencil icon () for that section on the right side of the screen.
  5. In the "Positions" section, select your primary position from the dropdown and check the boxes below for any secondary positions you play.
  6. Click the "Update Stats" button on the bottom of the page.

How do I connect myself to my high school?

  1. Login to your account.
  2. Click "Profile" (on the navigation bar at the top of the page).
  3. Click the "Academics" tab.
  4. Click on the value underneath the header "High School". Type in your school's name until it appears in the dropdown.

What are the different types of memberships?

Within the BeRecruited platform there are two types of memberships:

The Basic Membership

  • Cost: FREE!
  • Includes: Athletic profile and blogging abilities, BASIC recruiting analysis with NCSA via phone.

The Deluxe Membership

  • Cost: $19.99/month (automatically recurs monthly) OR $99.99 one-time fee (does not recur and lasts for life).
  • Includes: Athletic profile and blogging abilities, ADVANCED recruiting analysis with NCSA via phone, email generator, ability to invite coaches to view your profile, coach and college tracker (ability to see which coaches viewed your profile), featured exposure to over 30,000 coaches.

Is it safe for me to use my credit card online to purchase a Deluxe membership?

Yes, all BeRecruited transactions occur in a secure environment (https) using the industry standard in data encryption.

I have chosen a college to attend and I don't need to be recruited anymore. What should I do?

For those that have committed to a college or university, we suggest that all student-athletes, whether or not they plan to compete in intercollegiate sports, set their profile status to This allows us to celebrate your success on your profile and encourage other, younger athletes to follow in your footsteps.

How do I delete my account?

  1. Login to your account.
  2. Click the gear icon () on the top right of your screen and select "Edit Settings".
  3. At the bottom of the page, click the button that says "Delete Profile" or "Delete Account".

**NOTE: By following these steps, you will be deleting ONLY the sport profile that is currently in use. If you have more than one sport profile on this account and you wish to delete all your sport profiles, you will need to delete them all individually.

Why does my profile still appear on Google if I deleted it?

Your profile still appears on Google because it is saved in Google’s search engine’s cache or search memory. Until the search engine updates and deletes the old link, your profile will appear on Google. Google updates their system regularly so you should see it deleted within a couple of weeks.

How do I downgrade to a basic account?

  1. Login to your account.
  2. Click “Edit” (located to the right of your profile picture on your Dashboard).
  3. Select “Membership” on the left below “Account”.
  4. Click “Cancel” (located directly below your current membership type.)

Why do I keep getting charged for a Deluxe membership?

The BeRecruited monthly fee is withdrawn automatically every month from the account information you entered. To cancel future charges please follow these steps:

  1. Login to your account.
  2. Click “Edit” (located to the right of your profile picture on your Dashboard).
  3. Select “Membership” on the left below “Account”.
  4. Click “Cancel” (located directly below your current membership type.)

How do I locate my blogs and create new blog postings?

  1. Login to your account.
  2. Click "Profile" (on the navigation bar at the top of the page).
  3. Click the "Blog" tab.
  4. Click the “New Post" icon () on the right side of the screen.
  5. Enter your blog “Title” and “Body.”
  6. Click “Post” to save the blog.

How do I edit/delete blog posts?

  1. Login to your account.
  2. Click "Profile" (on the navigation bar at the top of the page).
  3. Click the “Blog” tab.
  4. Click “Edit Post” or “Delete Post” located above your blog post and next to the date the post was posted.

How do I see which coaches have followed and/or viewed my profile?

  1. Login to your account.
  2. Click "Coaches" (on the navigation bar at the top of the page).
  3. You will see the coaches who followed and/or viewed your profile here on the "Coach Tracker" page.

**NOTE: If you are registered for multiple sports you will need to review all of the sports individually by changing the sport dropdown located on your Dashboard.

How do I follow a coach/college?

  1. Login to your account.
  2. Click "Colleges" (on the navigation bar at the top of the page).
  3. Use the search feature to find the college you want to follow.
  4. Click the "Follow" button next to the college name (or on the top right of the college's homepage).

How do I invite a coach to view my profile? (Deluxe members only)

  1. Login to your account.
  2. Click "Colleges" (on the navigation bar at the top of the page).
  3. Use the search feature to find the college of the coach you want to invite.
  4. Click on the college name to go to that college's homepage.
  5. Click the “Invite” button on the top right of page. It should change to say "Invited".

**NOTE: You may only invite the coaches from each college once every six months.

How do I send an Email to coaches from my profile? (Deluxe members only)

  1. Login to your account.
  2. Click "Coaches" (on the navigation bar at the top of the page).
  3. Click the “Launch Email Generator” button.
  4. Search for colleges.
  5. Select “Send Email (located to the right of the college’s name).
  6. Choose 1 of 4 email templates.
  7. Review the email and make any edits.
  8. Click “Send Email.”

How do I see my email history?

  1. Login to your account.
  2. Click "Coaches" (on the navigation bar at the top of the page).
  3. Click the "Email History" tab.

Coach Views: These are the unique number of coaches who have viewed your profile. Upgrade to Deluxe to see specific names and colleges in your Coach Tracker.

Coach Follows: These are the coaches who are interested in following you more closely, and will see your profile updates when they log in.

Search Hits: This is how many times you have appeared in coaches' searches.

Colleges Followed: The number of colleges you have chosen to follow. These schools will be tracked on your "Followed Colleges" page.

How can I change my status to “committed?”

  1. Login to your account.
  2. Click the gear icon () on the top right of your screen and select "Edit Settings".
  3. The “Account” tab will load on this page.
  4. Select “Change commitment” beneath “Account Status.”
  5. Click the option that best applies to you.
  6. Enter the additional information and save the commitment by clicking “Change My Status.”

What happens when I change my status to “committed?”

When you update your recruiting status to “committed” you are removed from college coach searches and your profile also lists your commitment. We do not email any interested coaches about your commitment.

Why am I having trouble logging in?

If you are having issues logging into your account please first confirm you are using the correct login information, clear your browser’s cookies and login using this link. Should you continue to have issues please email us at contact@berecruited.com.

Why am I having trouble confirming my account?

If you are having issues confirming your account, make sure you are using the link in the most recent confirmation email sent to you by BeRecruited. If you cannot find your BeRecruited confirmation email, click the gear icon () in the top right of your screen to go to your Account Settings. Click the button to "Send Another Confirmation Email." Please be aware that once you request a new confirmation email, all old confirmation emails will be invalidated. Should you continue to have issues please email us at contact@berecruited.com.

Does registering with BeRecruited violate NCAA rules?

Registering with BeRecruited.com does not violate NCAA regulations. The majority of the responsibility about when coaches can contact you lies on the coach. To get more information about the different recruiting regulations speak to your high school coach and/or visit the Prospective Student-Athlete page of the NCAA website.

How is NCSA affiliated with BeRecruited?

Although BeRecruited and NCSA are business partners, the two companies are independent. BeRecruited is the nation’s largest athletic recruiting network, and the best first stop in your recruiting search. We help athletes and parents make the initial connection with college coaches. Should you need help beyond our platform, NCSA will help educate you further on the recruiting process.

FOR COLLEGE COACHES

How do I search for athletes?

  1. Login to your account.
  2. Click "Search" (on the navigation bar at the top of the page).
  3. Enter your desired search requirements.
  4. The page should automatically update with your the results of your search parameters.

How do I save a search?

  1. Once your preferred search has loaded (see above), you can click the "Save Search" button.
  2. Name your search for easy reference (e.g. "Potential Recruits from CA").
  3. Click the “Save Search” button.
  4. You can continue modifying the current search or click "New Search" to start fresh.

How do I set up auto-notifications for athletes that might interest me?

  1. Create or select a search with your desired requirements (see above)
  2. Check the box for "Email me when new ahtletes match this search."
  3. Your search will be automatically saved with this feature.

How do I export athlete information?

  1. Login to your account.
  2. Click "Prospects" (on the navigation bar at the top of the page).
  3. Select “Followed Athletes” on left.
  4. Click the “Export” button on the top left.

**NOTE: You can only export lists of athletes you are following. You can follow an athlete by clicking the "Follow" button on their profile page.

How do I edit my team profile and personal information?

  3. Edit desired information.
  4. Click “Update My Information.”

How do I change my email address?

  1. Login to your account.
  2. Click the gear icon () on the top right of your screen and select "Edit Account".
  3. Edit your email address in the "Email" field.
  4. Click “Update My Information.”

How do I see which athletes are interested in my university?

  1. Login to your account.
  2. Click "Interested Athletes" (on the navigation bar at the top of the page).
  3. You can filter by the type of interest the athlete has shown by clicking on the following options:
    • Email: Athletes who have sent you an email expressing their interest in your program.
    • Profile Invitation: Athletes who have sent you an invite to view their profile.
    • Followed College: Athletes who have "followed" your school.
    • Team Profile View: Athletes who have viewed your school's information page.
  4. You can sort by first name, last name, athlete join date, or athlete action date by clicking the dropdown in the top right corner of the page.

How do I see which athletes have sent me an email?

  1. Login to your account.
  2. Click "Interested Athletes" (on the navigation bar at the top of the page).

How do I follow an athlete?

  1. Login to your account.
  2. Use the search feature (as described above) to find an athlete.
  3. Click on the athlete’s name to view their profile.
  4. Click the "Follow" button below their profile picture.

Where can I see the list of athletes I am following?

  1. Login to your account.
  2. Click "Prospects" (on the navigation bar at the top of the page).

How do I unfollow an athlete?

  1. Login to your account.
  2. Click "Prospects" (on the navigation bar at the top of the page).
  3. Place your cursor over the name of the athlete you wish to unfollow.
  4. Click "Unfollow" (located directly below athlete's avatar photo).

How much does it cost for college coaches and how will it help me recruit?

The BeRecruited network is 100% FREE for college coaches and is a great way for you to recruit athletes, using a variety of recruiting tools that can transcend any geographical or financial limitations you may currently have. Evaluate athletes through online profiles that include their personal and academic information, athletic statistics, photos, videos, and blog posts that let you know their recent achievements.

Can multiple coaches from my program register?

Yes, multiple coaches can register from the same college program.

Does registering for BeRecruited violate NCAA rules?

Registering with BeRecruited.com does not violate NCAA regulations. As a college coach, if you have any questions about this network or recruiting timelines for your division of competition please contact your Compliance Department or visit the Eligibility & Recruiting page of the NCAA website.
