Over the past 2 weeks we have received feedback from athletes with questions about their number of Interested Coaches. We’d like to take this opportunity to explain how these numbers are calculated, so you are better informed in your recruiting process.
An Interested Coach is a registered College Coach who has either viewed your profile or bookmarked your profile. Each coach is counted only once. Each Interested Coach is listed on your Coach Tracker.
Occasionally, a College Coach will delete their profile. This happens when a coach leaves a college, or retires, or is no longer involved in coaching. In these instances, your Interested Coaches number will not change, but the coach’s details will no longer appear on your Coach Tracker.
As you know, we’ve been working to improve the BeRecruited platform. In the course of these updates, we discovered that some athletes may have seen an incorrect number of Interested Coaches or been incorrectly notified about a coach viewing or bookmarking their profile. We apologize for this technical issue. Today, we can report that we have corrected the problem, adjusted all Interested Coaches numbers to the correct numbers, and implemented safeguards so this does not happen again in the future.
The BeRecruited team understands that the recruiting process is a time sensitive search for you, and we apologize for any confusion. As we continue to improve the product we will help you to connect with as many relevant college coaches as possible. If you should have any additional questions or feedback please don’t hesitate to let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org.
